Summer Program: Research at a Navy Lab

SEAPThe Science and Engineering Apprenticeship Program (SEAP) places academically talented high school students with interest and ability in science and mathematics as apprentices in Department of Defense laboratories for eight weeks during the summer. The program offers students a unique experience in their fields of interest, encouraging them to pursue careers in science and engineering. Applications due October 23, 2015.

GGGThis live-in week long camp will give students the opportunity to explore career options that help society while protecting the environment. MATThe one-week ASM Materials camp at Missouri University of Science and Technology, July 25-30, 2010, offers rising juniors and seniors an opportunity to explore materials science and engineering principles through a combination of mini-demonstrations, field trips, and group projects. Past projects have included microelectronic circuitry, friction-stir welding, ceramic magnets, metal casting, glass processing, and heat treatment and mechanical property evaluation. Cost: Free.
