I had the pleasure of working with Ayanna at Axcelis, Inc. developing one of the first commercial genetic algorithms for complex combinatorial optimization. She is just as warm and funny as she is brilliant, and continues to inspire me to challenge myself each day.

Great story on Manu Sharma and Nuovo Wind. We're happy that Manu has joined our Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering at ERAU Daytona Beach for his graduate studies. Accommodating some of the issues his entrepreneurial activities create is challenging at times, but very much worth it. Dr. Butka's role in supporting the efforts of Manu and his partners has been valuable and is very much appreciated.

Looks amazing! I wonder though how much power it requires to pump the water up to the top of the structure? Would this requirement negate it's benefits? If it produces more engergy than it uses, I say we build one in every city!

Hey Nathan....I teach 4th grade in a school near Dallas, TX. We are a STEM school and am working on a water filtration project. We also will be doing a service learning project this year. Is there a way for us to raise and donate the $2000 to help in Tanzania?? Any info, sites, references would be great. Thanks.

i have 3 questions for you 1)did you know it takes fossil fuel to make the plastic on a electric car because it cant carry steal or alumina? 2)how do they make electricity because only under 5% of earths electricity is clean? and 3) why would a big family want a small electric car?
     are you insane?
