Engineers Rebuild Eroded Shoreline
In a project that is one of the top 5 finalists in the annual awards forĀ Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement, a team of engineers and architects have effectively rebuilt an eroding coastline along the eastern shore of Lake Michigan. Not only have they reinforced the shore in a way that respects the natural beauty of the landscape, but they were also able to add a recreational trail and strategically placed rocks to combat erosion.
