The Engineering Place at North Carolina State University

NCSIn 1999 the K-12 Outreach group was formed in the Office of Academic Affairs. Since then, the staff has impacted an average of 5000 students in North Carolina annually, in addition to 500 teachers. They have also participated in local, state and national collaborations to advance science, technology, engineering and math instruction in K-12 schools.

GROW at Girls Researching Our World

GROWGirls Researching Our World is a year round program for middle school girls. All events are designed to help girls explore the fields of science, technology, engineering & mathematics (STEM). Saturday events during the school year are themed around how scientists and engineers make the world a better place. During the summer girls who have completed the 6th and 7th grades are invited to a three day residential camp that provides a wide variety of hands-on STEM activities.
