The Engineering Place at North Carolina State University

NCSIn 1999 the K-12 Outreach group was formed in the Office of Academic Affairs. Since then, the staff has impacted an average of 5000 students in North Carolina annually, in addition to 500 teachers. They have also participated in local, state and national collaborations to advance science, technology, engineering and math instruction in K-12 schools.

Spring Engineering Education Days (SEEDs) at Santa Clara University

Science On Wheels Supervisor at Pacific Science Center

WHEELThe Science On Wheels Engineering van visits schools in all 39 counties of Washington State. Teachers perform an all-school presentation on the design process for three different types of engineering. Afterwards, students are visited in each classroom for hands-on design activities.

SWE Weekend of Engineering at University of Kansas

SWEThe SWE Weekend of Engineering is a fun weekend of exploration for high school women held each fall and spring semester and sponsored by the Society of Women Engineers. The program, which begins on a Saturday morning and ends on a Sunday afternoon, is an opportunity to learn about engineering as well as get a taste for college life KU Style.
