Women in Engineering Summer Camp at University of Dayton

A week-long residential program sponsored by the School of Engineering that introduces high school women, who have completed a minimum ninth-grade level, to career opportunities in engineering. Participants experience a total immersion into the world of engineering through classroom activities, participatory experiments, visits to industries, and contact with practicing women engineers.

NIU’s STEM Outreach offers outreach programming in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math for schools and communities in northern Illinois. Examples include demonstration programs, hands-on inquiry experiences, summer camps, professional development for teachers, family STEM nights, and more.
Get WISE (Women In Step with Engineering), sponsored by Northern Illinois University’s College of Engineering and Engineering Technology, is a program dedicated to helping young women in middle school and high school explore the exciting and rewarding field of engineering. Weekly clubs are offered at area middle and high schools and the summer residential engineering camps are open to all students.
Engaging Youth in Engineering (EYE) is a K-12 economic and workforce development initiative being piloted in 9 schools in the Mobile [AL] County Public School System. The purpose of EYE is to produce more high school graduates eager and able to pursue post-secondary careers and academics requiring a strong STEM background.
