New Charging Station for Electric Cars

Switching to electric cars has a lot of advantages: it would reduce city pollution, decrease our dependence on oil, and save us money from rising gas prices.

And now there is Blink, an electric charging station that will hopefully pave the way of an electric vehicle revolution.

Blink will be available in two models – an in-home residential wall-mount unit and a commercial stand-alone charger.

The at-home unit can inform you about your vehicles electric performance, be programmed to charge the car when electricity rates are the lowest, and can be controlled remotely through smart phone and web applications.

Best of all, it can deliver a full charge in only two hours.

The commercial charging stations all have the possibility of being located at frequent driver destinations, such as movie theaters, shopping malls, and coffee shops.

With flying cars already becoming a reality, the Blink’s simple and intuitive design will hopefully get consumers excited about electric cars as well.
